Conference: Virtual Event Hub, Video on Demand, and Special Events

The Tribal EPA Region 9 Conference announces Virtual Event Hub, Video on Demand, and Special Events.

We are excited to welcome you to the 2022 Region 9 Tribal EPA Conference at Harrah’s Lake Tahoe. We have worked hard to bring you the best in-person events and virtual options to optimize your experience. Read on to see what’s in store.

Virtual Event Hub

Preferred Browser

Chrome is the preferred browser to access the event page, virtual event hub, and studio link. However, when using an iPhone or an iPad, Safari might work better.

You can also download the Accelevents app for your mobile device from the App Store or Google Play.

Video on Demand

We are excited to bring this new feature to the conference. The Lobby of the Virtual Event Hub includes a Video on Demand tab where you can find pre-recorded videos that you can watch anytime, anywhere. Be sure to check them out.

  • Monday night at 6 p.m. in the South Shore Room with a Welcome Reception where you can enjoy heavy appetizers.

Tuesday, October 25, 2022

  • Tuesday morning, we are serving a buffet breakfast starting at 8:30 a.m. before the Welcome and Opening Ceremonies at 9 a.m., also in the South Shore Room. We will enjoy a welcome from Washoe Tribal leaders, as well as keynote remarks from USEPA Region 9 Administrator Martha Guzman and Chris Frey, USEPA Assistant Administrator for Research and Development.
  • Tuesday night, we are featuring a screening of the documentary Inhabitants, followed by a Q&A with Michael Kotutwa Johnson, featured in the film. Doors to the South Shore Room open at 6:30 p.m. and the movie will start at 7:00 p.m. Popcorn and movie snacks will be available.

Wednesday, October 26, 2022

  • Wednesday night, join us as we honor the recipients of the 2022 Conner Byestewa Jr. Awards at the awards banquet. Doors to the Sand Harbor Ballroom open at 6:30 p.m. and the program starts at 7:00 p.m. We will hear again from Michael Kotutwa Johnson, our featured keynote speaker.

Thursday, October 27, 2022

  • Thursday at 3:30 p.m. in Sand Harbor Ballroom II, we will close out the conference with a raffle featuring terrific prizes, including a drone, a wildlife camera, Bose wireless headphones, and more – including our grand prize, an Apple Watch. Bring your name badge to serve as your raffle ticket – you can’t win if you aren’t there.

There’s a lot of fun planned for everyone for the first in-person Region 9 Tribal EPA Conference since 2019. We can’t wait to see you!
