Abstract
In this session, Region 9’s Tribal Drinking Water Team will provide programmatic updates on the following topics:
- PFAS in Drinking Water – An update on the regional voluntary PFAS Sampling Program including how to participate and next steps for sampling your public water supply. The session will include updated information on national PFAS regulatory actions related to drinking water.
- Drought and Climate Resiliency – A summary of resources available to tribes to support planning and response to drinking water supply shortages.
- Infrastructure Funding Updates – A quick summary of current and upcoming funding opportunities to support tribal water infrastructure.
- AWIA’s Risk Assessments and Emergency Response Plans – A summary of the requirements and training available to support the development of risk assessments and ERPs required for water utilities under America’s Water Infrastructure Act of 2018 (AWIA).
- Upcoming Training and Engagement Opportunities – A summary of EPA-sponsored training and engagement opportunities for tribal water operators, utility managers and water professionals.
