Panel: Lean Management System to Support Agency Mission

Abstract
With over 80% of EPA applying lean management tools to improve their processes, EPA is looking for opportunities to collaborate with our partners, states and Tribes, to share best practices, tools, and other approaches to lean management, process improvement, and problem-solving. EPA is particularly keen on working together to improve processes where states and Tribes are: authorized or delegated authority to manage federal programs; working together to protect human health and the environment; and/or striving to enhance environmental justice initiatives. The lean management system has helped improve nearly 850 processes at EPA, and we are excited to share our continuous improvement experiences and tools with Tribes.
